Kindred at Home Business Continuity Program Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

Business Continuity Disaster Recovery Program Manager will collaborate with department directors and the executive team to develop and implement plans to anticipate, address, and mitigate the effects of various business interruptions.

Essential Functions: ( Those functions that the individual who holds the position must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation).

  • Develops and maintains a business recovery plan and procedure; reviews revises and expands existing plans and protocols.

  • Conducts risk assessments for various departments and functions, analyzing the potential business impact of unpredictable business interruptions such as natural disasters, security breaches, legal claims, and market disruptions.

  • Collaborates with IT staff to develop and implement best practices to protect and restore data and systems in the event of natural disasters, viruses, and hackers.

  • Identifies and implements recovery operations and methods to allow the company to function at limited or partial capacity in the event that part or all of the infrastructure is damaged or destroyed.

  • Creates and facilitates practice drills for plan execution.

  • Assist with the establishment of a strong business continuity culture.

  • Develops and provides staff training on risk management and disaster recovery.

  • Works with health, safety, and security staff and local, state, and federal agencies to align the organization’s emergency management plan with established best practices and community standards.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of risk management and business continuity planning

  • Knowledge of evolving and current threats including cyber terrorism

  • Excellent strategic, problem-solving skills

  • Strong analytical skills, able to think through hypothetical systems and concepts and identify risks and weaknesses in various business processes

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and deliver results

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • Must read, write and speak fluent English.

  • Must have good and regular attendance.

  • Approximate percent of time required to travel:

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred

  • Certified Business Continuity Professional or Industry recognized equivalent preferred

  • Minimum five years of business continuity or disaster recovery experience with at least two years in a risk management position
